Makoshey makes clothes to empower and inspire kids ages 2-14. As parents of four kids, we see most brands featuring clothes that feel very gendered. Tight and short fit and light colors for girls, and looser fit and bolder colors for boys. With messages and color palettes conforming to gender stereotypes, we often struggle to find awesome clothes to match all our kids’ interests. Family-owned, family-run business with mom as CEO. Our name comes from Grandma Hilde Makoshey (pronounced Mack-O-Shay). She was always herself, and we believe that’s how our kids, and all kids, should be too.
